2) I suppose, in terms of Key Word usage, I used the word brunch a lot, and made sure it was closely tied to the word Gainesville.
3) I genuinely did not use social media to promote my blog. I do not really want a blog, and I only have one for this class. Using social media to promote it would definitely not help anything I was trying to promote.
4) My Elevator Pitch posts got the most traffic, I think this is because they are a quick and easy way of finding out what my idea is.
5) No, I did not make the first page of Google, and I was absolutely nowhere close.

ReplyDeleteYou were very straight forward in this post. You seem very passionate with your opinions and that's a great trait to have! I agree with you when you say that it isn't possible for us to get our blogs on the first page of google. We have only had these blogs for less than a year now and most of us didn't really try to get them out there on the web. But, maybe in the future our blogs will become more popular! Even if this class is over, our blogs will be out there forever and anyone can see them and I think that's pretty cool! Great job!

I didn't really give much thought to search engine optimization also and kind of slacked with it over the course of the semester. ReplyDeleteIt is good that you were able to identify a few keywords that you used routinely. Over time, they should be able to help you climb into the first few pages of Google results. I also couldn't agree more about the social media. This blog is my first (and probably my last), and while I enjoyed it, I will not be promoting it heavily on social media at all.
